Arrival to Camp

Pioneers come between 8:45-9:00 A.M. and hang out with their counselor or fellow campers before proceeding to the daily lineup at 9 AM. Lineup includes calisthenics, bunk cheers, and songs and the fun is ready to begin, the Pioneers will serve as aids to the counselors and help with the cheers and adding excitement for the younger bunks.

At 9:15 A.M. the day begins! The schedule is varied throughout each day combining sports, trips and fun activities.

Swim*

Each camper’s schedule has a swimming period. During instructional swim campers are placed in small groups based on their swimming abilities. In these groups they are instructed by a Red Cross certified lifeguard who is also a W.S.I. (Water Swimming Instructor), aided by counselors. Campers also enjoy free swim time, where they can cool off in the refreshing pool and enjoy poolside activities.

*Due to Covid we have been using in house Waterslides for water activity to mitigate the spread of Covid.

We are also proud to have Club Scientific and Kidz-art come to give hands-on activities that are both fun and educational.

Pioneers will have age appropriate activities for themselves as well times when they can shine in the studios setting (details below)

Sports:

Pioneers will have extra exciting sports, with added twists to engage their age. including basketball, TAG football, volleyball, creative movement, BUBBLE Soccer and more. We also have coaches come from Kidokinetics, Master Chang's and others to lead sporting activities while incorporating values such as sportsmanship, cooperation and respect.

There will be periods throughout the day where the CIT's will lead sports for the youngest division to help hone their relationship skills with the campers.

Studios:

Camp Gan Israel is planning to add a new elective program throughout the camp day, the Pioneers will have a leading role in leading these electives for the campers in the areas which they can shine (e.g. Dance, Baking, STEM, Sports etc).

After Camp:

There will be days marked on the calendar for Pioneers to stay on and have extra time to do special activities with the counselors, further details on all of these events will come out together with our camp schedule.
